Festival Klassiek achter de Duinen invites emerging chamber music ensembles of conservatory students or recent graduates to develop a bold, relevant programme that connects music to the world around us. We’re looking for musicians who not only perform at a high artistic level, but who are eager to explore how their work can resonate beyond the concert hall.

Selected ensembles will receive:​

​

• Coaching on programming with societal impact with the artistic directors of Festival Klassiek achter de Duinen, to be scheduled in June and July 2026

• Two masterclasses by leading chamber musicians Candida Thompson and Daniel Rowland on 16 and 17 September 2026 in Amare in The Hague

• A 30-minute concert at Amare in The Hague during Festival Klassiek achter de Duinen on 17 and 18 September 2026

• A fee for the concert

What we ask from you:

​

• An audition video of approximately 10 minutes (free repertoire)

• A 25 to 30-minute programme proposal for your ensemble 

• This programme should include a societal dimension. This can be shaped in many ways, for example through a theme, collaboration with a social partner, or another creative concept that connects music to society

Deadline

Applications are open until 15 June 2026. Make sure to submit your proposal before this date to be considered for the Klassiek achter de Duinen Academy selection. Results will be announced one week after the deadline
